THE BEGINNING

The pack was founded by Risotto and his mate Doppio. They were two loners who found great company in each other and decided to make a pack that challenged typical traditional wolf pack norms.They both agreed that they weren't too fond of typical pack life and wanted an alternative since both craved companionship and unity with others. They met multiple wolves and together, they created the Dark River pack.It was a rocky start at first. Many of the personalities conflicted and there was even aggression towards Risotto due to his struggle with social cues, but those who were understanding and willing to work out issues stayed.

CURRENT

Kuro is the current leader of the Dark River Pack. He's very young and inexperienced, which leads to many mistakes. Kuro has trouble admitting when he's wrong but he tries his best to take care of the pack that his family has loved so dearly.

PAST LEADERS

After Risotto died, his daughter Hex took over the pack. Xe wasn't the best leader due to xyr aggressive nature, but was known to be very prideful and caring about xyr pack at the end of the day. Hex would do aboslutely anything for the pack. Hex was the leader who decided that only Risotto's bloodline would continue to rule the pack to honor her father and his legacy. She ultimately ended up sacrificing xyr life for xyr herbalist, which gave her a wonderful memory in the hearts of the pack. Her son Kuro took over shortly after.

ABOUT THE PACK

The Dark River Pack is a very friendly and docile pack. They reside in the mountains by a river shaded by trees, hence the name "Dark River Pack". They are always willing to help out another pack in need. They frequently take in lone wolves due to the equality throughout the pack. The pack is a democracy and usually decisions are voted on with pebbles. Once a wolf reaches a year old, they are deemed old enough and mature enough to vote on pack matters.There is very little conflict in the pack for the most part, but when there is, the pack attempts to handle it without violence. The pack looks down on violent acts and tries to respect the mountains and the forest around them. They see nature as a blessing from their ancestors and try to respectfully take care of the world around them.

LEADER

The leader is the lead wolf of the pack. They make most of the final decisions and their word is can override anything else despite the pack being a democracy. If the leader believes that the pack is not making a good decision, they can choose to ignore it and make their own decision, but this can greatly affect the way their pack views them.The leader is always apart of Risotto's bloodline to uphold his legacy.

PUPSITTERS

Pupsitters take care of the pups of the pack. They are equal to others in the pack. They are respected due to how they care for the new generation of the pack.

ADOLESCENTS

The adolescents are the young wolves who will become adults soon. They get to choose their own path and choose if they want to be a pupsitter or a hunter. They begin to learn that their voice matters in the pack but they do not get to vote until the age of one year

ROLELESS

Wolves who are roleless in the pack still have importance, they just decided they do not know what they'd like to do. They typically help around with miscellaneous tasks and watch over the territory.

HERBALIST

The herbalist is practically the second in command in the pack. If the leader is unable to make decisions due to some reason or another, the herbalist will step in. The herbalist is highly respected along side the leader. They are usually a very knowledgable wolf who is close to the leader. The herbalist is not typically related to Risotto or any of his descendants but it ins't out of the question.The herbalist is picked specially by the leader of the pack and is typically a wolf that they trust.

HUNTERS

The hunters of the pack are equal to the others. They do the hunting in the pack and are usually skilled fighters in case of emergency.

PUPS

Pups are the pups of the pack. They are very protected and seen as important. The entire pack helps raise the pups but the pupsitters watch over them. Pups earn their names when they become adolescents. In the mean time, they are referred to by features about them, such as "little runt", "feisty one", ect.

SCOUTS

Scouts are wolves who go and discover new territory. They are always picked by the leader and are seen as very important. The scouts are usually good fighters because they face so much danger while scouting.
